I’m Jem Figueroa, a visual artist working in abstract and mixed media drawing and painting.

My practice is guided by emotion and process. Sometimes work begins with a feeling, other times it unfolds without intention; meaning is often discovered after the piece is complete. I aim for the work to move beyond interpretation and instead evoke feeling, creating space for personal connection and response.

I work intuitively with charcoal, oil paint, acrylic, and oil pastel, often combining materials freely. I do not sketch beforehand, each piece develops organically through process and instinct.
